The Atlas sail is a Power Wave sail for those that like plenty of get you going low-end grunt but with high end stability, hence the 5 batten layout. It's also a great Bump and Jump sail, so do not be put off by the Wave label. This is what Pryde have to say about the Atlas.. 

ATLAS - Designed for heavier wave sailors and / or sailors who predominantly sail in onshore / side-onshore. Smooth, controllable power and excellent high wind control. Rig big, power through shore break, jump high. Extra power and stability for onshore wave sailing. Ideal for bump and jump free-riding, small to medium wavs, intermediate level free-styling and free-riding.

Innovation -  Designed and tested at our Neil Pryde Maui Design Center by Robert Stroj, then further developed through our team riders' feedback from across the world. No stone is left uncovered in our relentless drive to be the best at what we do. In 2024, we re-invented our wave sail range from the bottom up. We started at the 3D design level, creating new panel layouts and using new materials to eliminate stitches, reduce weight and increase responsiveness. In 2025, the main design features remain unchanged, but we have improved material choices in the foot and clew for even greater durability. The result is our best wave sail line up in the company's history.

Drive & Acceleration -  Tight leech provides power for early planing and upwind performance.

Wide Wind Range -  A large tuning range that allows the rider to trim the sail for all conditions, thanks to the combination of a pronounced luff curve in the boom area and a high outhaul tension that stabilizes the profile. 

Stability - Greater luff curve than the Combat and Zone to provide ultimate high wind control.

5 Batten Layout -  to provide greater stability and lighter feeling.
