Chilled again, Tucker don't mind, Naish launch Three and Dan's on our minds.

It’s Friday, it’s 6.45pm and that can mean only one thing.. I should be going home and.. it’s the Weekend! After the really pleasant spring like week end we all enjoyed just a week ago, the week just gone has seen us put firmly back in the fridge, for yet more chilling down ( -3°C start to today inland). I guess we have to live with Winter for a little longer yet but that Sun is getting higher in the sky and we’re just over two weeks away now from the Clocks leaping forward into British Summertime.. so that is something to look forward too! But others have fun in colder climates than ours, as per this review of the Ensis Para Wing by Tucker of MACkiteboarding (Grand Haven, Lake Michigan) truly shows.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ld3AV0gHceE&t=4s

It's a quicky of a ramble this evening, as everything happened late in the Megastore today and that has used up keyboard time. So, here we go.

Naish have just launched three new or updated for 2025 Wing Foiling products today.

The ADX Nvision Wing 2025.. their Aluula Wing , now with a reduced diameter leading edge and carbon boom. 3m through to 7m versions and pricing is £1599.00 to £2149.00. Reassuringly expensive..  https://www.naish.com/products/adx-nvision-2025

The Hover Wing Ascend Carbon Ultra board, which is the Naish One board range for all disciplines, have had their width trimmed by approx. 2cm across the range,  to reduce hull drag and offer less swing weight (a move which a lot of wing board designers seem to be following). Sizes are from 62lt through to 142lt and the pricing range is from £1082.00 to £1265.00.

Last up is the Naish Wing Anchor.. which is as it sounds, a device to let you dump the wing and hopefully it will stay ‘roughly’ where you left it.. J  £89.00 is the price for this wing parking permit.

Another weird week in World politics, which personally I’d like to keep out of but it’s good to know that the UK can still achieve the Number One spot for one thing..  even if it is for being top of  Russia’s Pet Hate list. Guess 2025 is going to be a year of bumpy rides but nothing set to bring any sort of rides, as far as I can see, for Shoreham this weekend (unless an offshore wind Wing foiling session suits?) . Time to see what the weather is up to..

Saturday, we kick off with a 10-16kt Nor’Easter, that by late morning could be 18-27kt. It’s going to be chilly, as they give the air temp somewhere around  6-9°C less wind chill of course.. but just think of Tucker and it will seem quite warm! No rain and a reasonable amount of Sun. High is at 12.12hrs on a 6.0m, so it’s a good River paddling or Pump foiling tide! Pevensey Bay will be the best bet for on-sea sailing or I guess Bewl Water may be a destination for foiling fun.

Sunday, sees the wind still from the Nor’East but they reckon it will start to drop back to around 10-21kt in the morning and then back off further to 6-14kt by ‘lights out’. Once again dry with sunny periods and a high temp of 10°C, so on the up again and hopefully it will get better and better through the coming week. High Tide is at 12.39hrs on a 6.0m.

And that’s yer lot. The Six Nations Rugger concludes tomorrow and I guess if you are an England, France or Ireland supporter, you will be watching the matches from some warm and cosy pub like location.. a reasonable choice on a chilly winter’s day. And last but not least, it was just five years ago yesterday that we had to say “cheerio” to Danny Seales and I would hate to have him think that we’d forgotten him already.. Ha, now how could we ever forget you!
