Still raining, a tale of a Swell, maybe MotoGP and Surfladle's on Sale again.
Well, there goes Dreary Friday, Welcome to your last Weekend in February and your first in March!
OMG.. will it ever stop raining? Hands up if you are losing the will.. I think we are all getting rather fed up with this persistent precipitation now, even if it has brought mild windy conditions throughout the ‘deepest’ winter months. The weekend is in the same vein but next week is looking less favourable on the wind side, but more so in the ‘DRY’ department. We will see…
There’s talk of swell tomorrow on the Surf forecasts, with Witterings enjoying a suggested small but perfectly formed 0.6m wave on a 12-14 sec period. https://www.surf-forecast.com/breaks/East-Wittering/forecasts/latest/six_day There will be wind from the West’Sou’West in the morning and then backing Sou’West in the afternoon, so not sure how ‘clean’ that wave will be. Nothing great shown on Guru for Shoreham.. we may have a 1m wave on a 6 sec period. Again, we will see…
It’s looking quite quiet this weekend. I can’t see anything water related locally, apart from Saturdays Wittering Swell and Guru’s Strong wind Sunday.. and the Six Nations Rugby is having a weekend off, so that’s not an option to escape the rain, by snuggling up in a bar with a beer.. but I’m sure you can find another reason to enter a licensed premises, which could be MotoGP, as the 2026 season kicks off this Sunday at the Chang Circuit in Thailand. Saturday practice is being televised live on Discovery and also on Quest (a short period after) for those that only want catchup and not Pay to View. All you have to do.. is find a Sports pub that’s showing it.
We have now started the stock clearance Sale by updating the pricing on our website.
The products are listed in alphabetical order on our portal, so you will have to keep ‘checking in’, until we reach that certain something you may fancy. It’s not a quick job and as I am off next week, hence no Saturday Morning Vid tomorrow or a Blog or SMV next weekend, and as James is away for the following two weeks, it may not progress much through March. As I’ve said prior, do ASK if you have your eye on anything we have in stock and we will sharpen our pricing pencil for you. Must be time for the Weekend weather and the Tide times.
Saturday, Guru say West’Nor’West 17-25kt during the morning, backing Sou’West 17-23kt during the afternoon. MET say 13kt West in the morning , dropping back to 11kt West during the afternoon (no fun whatsoever..). Rain showers during the morning but could be with us all day and.. a top temp of 9°C. Tide hits High at 8.51hrs on a small’ish 5.1m tide, so no great tidal movement for those that like to take a walk along the beach..in the rain.
Sunday, Guru say the winds will be Sou’Sou’West 25-34kt during the morning and only slightly diminishing to 20-28kt during then afternoon. MET agree on the direction but have it as a more conservative 18kt during the morning and 15kt during the afternoon. Both agree on rain showers, mainly during the morning. A Top Temp of 11°C given by the MET. Current water temp is 9°C. Tide is High at 9.50am and jumps to a 5.6m, so a better ‘movement’ with more sand on hand, for those that like it!
And that’s all we have time for this week and sadly for next as well, so I hope everyone’s weekend is full of fun and that the fun prevails throughout the week ahead.
I’m off home, for a rather muddy stroll across our local paddy fields (well, if they can grow rice in the Fens…). Oh joy..
