Warmer for a while, a pair of G6 Quantex , Two Used and the Ezzy Flight V2 is coming!

Friday evening once again and yet another weekend is upon us, thank gawd. Nice to have had a warmer week though, as the heating bill was getting worryingly high, especially after Christmas had raided the bank account! Anyhow, keeping it as brief as I can tonight, as the day has been long and the workload high and stressful.. hah.. just how we like it!

Tide tables..  should have been here for the weekend but the courier came early and we missed the delivery, so it’s Monday now. Sorry to all those waiting.. patiently.

Simmer are clearing their G6 range of windsurf boards to make way for the incoming G7,  which should arrive at some point in May, so a customer has just purchased two of their Quantex wave boards, a 79 and 92lt. He went for the G6 as the board shape remains the same for the G7,  but G7’s will have  new deck pads, straps and livery, with a current projected price of £2499.00,  depending upon how low the dear old £ goes. The G6 is now on offer at £2149.00 and if you buy two, we can add a bit of discount… what a nice thought.  Nice looking boards and the fins etc. all fitted perfectly, which is always a good sign! More info on G6 and G7 boards can be found at https://simmerstyle.com/product/g6-quantex/  and we will add them to our website ASAP!

As the customer bought two, he now has two to sell. There’s a Goya Custom Quad Wave 78lt from 2012 that’s had a ding to the tail and a couple of dings to a rail but still watertight and comes with two fin sets, the original MFC and a set of K4. He’s looking for £150.00 ono. The other is a lovely 2016 Quatro Super Mini 94lt Wave come Freewave. Soft enough rails to make it turn well but a wide’ish tail and fairly fast rocker line to make it fun on those onshore B&J sessions. Condition is structurally good but has the typical pebble rash and few rust stains from a rack (may well clean off). Comes with the original MFC fin set (centre fin tip has suffered a bit, as was the way with these fins, so will need reshaping) and a set of K4. Price is £295.00 ono. I will try and get them up on the site tomorrow first thing, after the shaky vid, but both are at the shop if you want to come along and view. You can see these boards on our Facebook page Click Here

Ezzy, not renowned for making anything other than bullet proof windsurfing sails has now entered the world of Wing. They launched a wing called the Flight last year, which never made it officially into the UK, as they wanted to test the water with a limited number of wings in the States and the EU. The wing proved itself and now we have the V2 on the way, which is rated to be something a little bit special, as David to date has not ‘made a failure’. The wing design is a joint affair, with Jose Fernadez testing and tweaking in the Canaries, with David running production and improving the structure of the wing. Someone is bound to say ‘it’s going to be heavy if it’s an Ezzy’ but we have been assured that is not the case.. but no one will doubt it’s quality! They arrive February and do let us know if you are interested, as they will be in short supply. All the info we have is on the web site (shame the pricing had to rise but it’s all down to the £) and we will add more,  as we get more. https://www.surfladle.com/wingsurf-wings/new-wings/ezzy-flight-v2-wing

Weather, for the Weekend!

Saturday, a cooler day than of late with a light'ish wind from the East’Nor’East, running at around 10kt, so not very exciting. Good news is no rain or snow and the days are now getting a little longer, so you will still have twilight to around 5pm.. yahoo. Tide is High at 14.02hrs on a 5.7m.

Sunday, the wind switches to the South 11kt but does nothing to add heat, as day temp staying around 5°C. Once again the forecast says dry, so could be worse. Tide is High at 14.34hrs on a 5.5m.

Next week looks ‘quiet’ until Wednesday evening, when a low should start to muscle its way in and by the weekend they say we should see strong winds.. with lots of lovely warm rain. Don’t you love a happy ending..

And that’s it for this week. I hope everyone is holding up as best they can, whilst under the strain of Long Winter Syndrome…only a couple more months to go.. and please do your best to have a great weekend in paradise!
